Waverly Hills Sanatorium

Waverly is known world-wide for being an extremely active paranormal hotspot. Our investigators have had the opportunity to investigate multiple times over the past 18 years. Waverly Hills was a small Tuberculosis hospital built in 1910 to house patients of the epidemic. The magnificent building that is standing today was opened in 1926 to accommodate the increasing patient population. In the 1940's Streptomycin was discovered as a cure for the disease and as the patient population decreased, in 1962, it was reopened as a geriatric hospital named Woodhaven. The patients at Woodhaven were severely neglected and abused. The state shut down the facility in 1982. Thousands of people lost their lives during the 70 years of the building's operation.
