Kasey Cemetery aka Grandview Cemetery aka The Gates of Hell
Elizabethtown, KY

Kasey Cemetery is a small, family cemetery hidden at the very end of St. John's Road for the past 300 years. It has been known to be extremely paranormally active. We have investigated this place multiple times over the past 17 years. We cannot emphasize enough that it is imperative to be respectful when visiting anywhere, but especially here. We have witnessed non-believers, provokers & jokesters experience the wrath of the spirits that reside here. From sudden nosebleeds and panic attacks to cars not starting when they are trying to leave, the spirits here demand respect and will put up with no less. If you are respectful, you will have a pleasant experience and may leave with some great evidence. An offering of flowers, fruit or even something as simple as a prayer is suggested.

In 2002, after doing some cleanup and documenting what we could read on the existing graves with others from the paranormal community in Louisville, Investigator Beth Pinotti captured a picture of a large, green orb on a 35mm camera. Unknowingly capturing that huge anomaly until the pictures were developed was such an exciting and eye-opening experience.  It proved to her that it was possible to document spirit activity and she has continued doing it ever since.

If you want to visit, it is a public cemetery. The police do patrol so do not go late at night and do not do anything disrespectful, destructive or illegal. Be aware that there is no cell service, it is very isolated and there can be some interesting individuals that may not have the best intentions. Teenagers usually show up on Friday & Saturday nights.

Our suggestion is to go with a couple of people you trust not to provoke, take supplies in case your car won't start for a while and spend a few hours to see if you have an unforgettable experience as well. We have great interaction with our K2 meters there, we have captured voices and have had a lot of odd and funny occurrences there. We would love to hear about your experiences at Kasey Cemetery.
