Paranormal Investigator

Growing up I’ve always been curious, adventurous, and into the “unknown”. My mom and I would sit down and watch Ghost Hunters every Wednesday night; I just had a natural curiosity for the paranormal.

When I was about 13 years old I remember walking upstairs to bed one night, as I got to the top of the steps I looked down the hall in the last bedroom, it was the first time I’ve ever seen a “shadow man”. It wasn’t until later that I had told my mom about what I saw, a tall shadow man in a black trench coat with a top hat. When I told my mom she gave me this shocking look and began telling me a story I will never forget.

When she was about the same age I was when I saw the shadow man (13), she saw the exact same thing at the end of her bed one night. At first, I didn’t think much of it, until my mom finished the story. When her mom (my grandma) was pregnant with my mom, her and my grandfather were driving down the road when she saw two men on the side of the road; one with a black trench coat and top hat and the other with a gray trench coat and top hat. My grandfather didn’t see them, of course, so he continued driving. By the time my grandma told my grandfather to stop the car, my grandfather had already hit the two men. As my grandma looked back, only the man in the black trench coat was standing there, the gray one was gone.

This story has left me curious and wondering if I have a daughter, if she’ll see the same man when she’s 13.
